I can’t believe it’s been a year since COD4 was released, and 3 for BF2. Time really seems to fly, and it feels like the LAN gaming scene is really getting stale. We keep playing the same few games over and over, it really can get almost boring. Luckily, things seem to be looking up with several titles being scheduled for release in the next few months. My personal favorite is probably FarCry 2 - I can’t wait to free-roam the african plains (shooting anything that moves of course.) We’ve also got Left 4 Dead which looks like it’s going to be the gold standard for co-op play this year.

Between FarCry2, L4D & GTA4, this winter is looking to be a very exciting gaming season!

GTA IV for PC!

For all you GTA enthusiasts, some good news. GTA IV is set to release for PC this November. Here are some specs I found for the PC version :

Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)

RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader

Mugging is easy in GTA4, is it easy in real life?
In Thailand, a high school student found out. He tried to mug a cab driver, but ended up repeatedly stabbing him when the cabbie fought back. The cabbie was incapacitated, so the kid put him in the back seat to die while he took the cab for a joyride around Bangkok. Now GTA4’s publisher in Thailand is pulling it from all the shelves, because of course this kid isn’t crazy. Robbing people is normal behavior right? The game made him do it, like always.

I play Battlefield, I should artillery my friends like Jim. Beware of the water balloons… beware!
